Occupational audiometry course (2 day) Thursday and Friday 20th and 21st January2022

A comprehensive course that provides guidance and training in all factors relating to a successful hearing conservation programme. The course content is based on a recommended syllabus of the British Society of Audiology (BSA), the Health & Safety Authority (HSA) ‘The control of noise at work regulations 2007’ and industry specific requirements. This course has been developed over a number 0f years by health professionals and Audiologists employed by Amplivox.

  • Anatomy and Physiology of the EAR & Types and Features of Hearing Loss
  • The Physical Agents Noise Directive
  • The Ear and threshold of hearing
  • Monitoring Audiometry
  • Practical Session 1 : Examination of the ear (Otoscopes)
  • Practical session 2: Manual Audiometry
  • The categorization scheme and audiogram assessment
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Organization of Audiometric Programme
  •  Close session and course feedback

 

Occupational audiometry update course (1 day) Tuesday 15th February 2022

A theory and practical course that is designed for occupational health professionals who require a general updating of their skill and knowledge to complete screening audiometry in the workplace.

Based upon the 2 day course this course has been developed over a number of years to satisfy the requirements for a specific refresher course for those who have completed the 2 Day Audiometry Course.
